I read The Shepards Song two christmas’s ago and I loved it. I was recently married and now every year I read it with my wife and with my family. It has become a christmad tradition to read it and it always warms our souls and touches our hearts and brings us closer to the Savior. Thank you Larry.
Robert — You are very kind. I am pleased that my little Christmas book is part of your family tradition.
Dear Larry,
I read Morning Dove years ago and in fact need to re-read it. I attended Borah High School where I met and loved Cheryl Barkdull. I then went to Ricks for two years and then back to Boise State where I reconnected with her and came to know and love Brian. They were at the institute with us and I now hear of she and Brian in IF every so often.
I read the Shepherds song last year after my mother found it on clearance at Deseret Book. It was amazing and I have shared it with many. I just finished the Master’s Touch and love your style of writing and your insights shared in each chapter. My parents were both raised in Driggs and my cute mother, who is 80, has had much fun reminiscing about that time period.
I plan to find your books and read them again. I just finished reading ‘The Traveler’s Gift’. If you get a chance you might enjoy reading it.
Thanks for sharing your talents.
Sincerely,
Sally Murray

PS. My husband works for the church and in 2005 we accepted an International Assignment to Ghana Africa. While there I began sending out emails about our experiences and then in 2006 was approaced by our RS President to come to see her new school that she had been assigned to as Head Mistress. That was a day that has changed my life. I began helping her school, Akpormang, with small donations that friends and family would send. Then she and I went onto another school, Ayi Mensa, which consisted of 15 children meeting under a tree. With help, again from family and friends and Forever Young Foundation, we are near completion of our 4th room of Ayi Mensa School. It has been an incredible adventure as we raise money for their building materials and allow the village to build their very own school which allows their younger children, who would most likely not be able to attend, a daily experience in education.
I try to return when possible and oh, how I would love to take you there to use your incredible, insightful writing style to tell the world of humility, simple joy and perserverance in the face of adversity.
Thanks again for sharing your talents.
